19 Free Witch Coloring Pages to Print

19 free printables Any paper size 300 dpi No sign-up

Pointed witch hats with buckles, cauldrons with something questionable bubbling in them, broomsticks crossing the moon, and a supporting cast of cats. The witches here are animals as often as they are people, which tends to go down better with the under-sixes.

Click any drawing to print it. The sheet opens in a new tab and the print dialog does the rest, with every paper size your printer offers. Prefer a batch? Tap + on each drawing you want, then print the whole pile in one go from your pile.

Robes and hats are drawn as outlines, never filled in black. A filled robe is half a page of solid ink and nothing to color. Everything on this page has something to put a crayon into.

Every drawing is a free printable PDF and prints at 300 dpi on any paper size your printer takes, US Letter and A4 included. No account needed, no watermark.

What you will find on this page

Fourteen of these nineteen witches are animals. A fox stirring a cauldron with a wooden spoon, a badger cooking with a leaf in its paw, an owl mixing potions with a wand, a crow holding a crystal ball, a squirrel writing in a book by candlelight. Four different mice fly broomsticks. The five human witches are young, round-faced and busy with a cauldron rather than with anybody's misfortune.

The robes and hats are drawn as outlines, never filled in black. A filled cloak is half a page of solid ink and nothing to color, which is what most witch sheets get wrong.

Easy witch coloring pages for young children

The animal witches are the simplest. A mouse on a broomstick is a body, two ears, a hat and a stick, with stars scattered around it for anyone who wants more to do. Wide shapes, closed lines, and a subject a four-year-old finds funny rather than frightening.

Cauldrons, potions and spell books

The busier half of the page is where the detail lives: the owl surrounded by potion bottles and bubbles, the cat reading by a fireplace with a candle and a mirror, the deer casting a spell in a forest. The bottles have labels waiting to be colored. If potion bottles and bubbling pots are the appeal, the monster coloring pages have a Frankenstein in a lab, and the haunted house coloring pages put the same animals indoors.

Witches for Halloween night

The graveyard sheet, the cornfield with the jack-o'-lantern basket, the three carved pumpkins with spider webs behind them. These sit next to the halloween coloring pages, the pumpkin coloring pages and the spider coloring pages, which share the same cast.

What to do with them once they are colored

Tape a broomstick witch to the inside of a window and she flies against the dark, which is the one decoration that works better at night than during the day.

The cauldron sheets make good place mats for a party table: color, cut around the pot, and slide them under the bowls of sweets. And if you print the spell book witch twice, a child can color the second one and glue it to the front of a notebook.

Printing your witch coloring pages

Are these witch coloring pages really free?

Yes. Pick a drawing, print it, done. No account, no email address, and no watermark across the cloak.

Are the witches frightening?

No. Most of them are animals: a fox, a badger, a crow, a squirrel and several mice, all in pointed hats. The few human witches are young, round-faced and busy with a cauldron rather than with anybody's misfortune.

Why are the robes not filled in black?

Because a filled robe is half a page of solid ink and nothing to color. Here the cloak, the hat and the buckle are outlines, so every one of them is a shape to put a crayon into.

What paper size should I print on?

Whichever is in the tray, or anything else your printer offers: the sizes live under More settings in the print dialog. Every witch is rendered at 300 dpi for the size you land on.

What age are these for?

Three and up. The animal witches have wide open shapes for the youngest; the cauldron scenes and the cornfield have more going on and suit a child who wants to spend longer.

Can I print a set for a Halloween party?

Yes. A class, a daycare group, a library session or a party table. Print what the room needs without asking us. Reselling the files is the only thing off limits.
